SEO site review dfinitive.com :: As part of SEOContest2008 review series

    By Siva4SEOContest2008 | March 11, 2008

Dfinitive is an excellent SEO site.  Julian Paling created this amazing site with very valuable SEO info. Who is Julian Paling? In his words:

Hi, I’m an Internet Marketer from London, England. My first adventure into world of internet marketing was in 1999 where I asked to create the first website for large UK retailer, and within 12 months the site generated over £2.5 million in sales. Since then I have worked my way up the career ladder, through hard work, long hours, and more hard work.

Looking at blog articles, I see the quality of SEO related info in this site and blog posts. My favourite blog post on this blog is

How I got aerobed to No1 in Google

Julian explains step by step approach how he made aerobed site to No.1 search result in Google. This is real good practical seo post. Thanks Julian for posting the details.

The site summarizes all SEO sites, SEO blogs and SEO forums very well. It is  one stop source for good SEO sites. Here is a screenshot:

SEO site review SEOBook.com and FREE “SEO for Firefox” :: As part of SEOContest2008 review series

    By Siva4SEOContest2008 | March 4, 2008

    Today’s site Review features SEOBook.com

This blog is by Aaron Mathew Wall covering SEO. Aaron is wellknown SEO expert and author of top selling eBook “SEOBook”. He put together very good resources and links on this site.

I downloaded one of the free SEO tool “SEO for Firefox” from this site and use it everyday. When you search for something, This tool gives lot of data along with search results like web page pr, domain owner etc.

This tool highlights Keyword research, AW sandbox, Traffic estimator, Trends with search box. This gives a very good picture of how many searches are done from various search engines for specific keywords as well as related keywords.

SEO for Firefox review - search

See the blue lines under search results with PR info etc.

Click on Keyword research and this will give how many searches are done for word “Pizza”

    SEOforfirefox keyword research tool

As you can see the approximate 8280 daily searches are done for word “pizza”. Here you can see the related key words, Google, yahoo and MSN seach counts all in one place. You can even upload to CSV file (can be opened with Excel). This is cool way to know popular keywords. When designing new site or blog, It would be great to have one of the top keyword with .com extension as your domain name. This helps a lot in SEO and might bring some type-in traffic. Make sure there are no trade marks registered with that keyword though.

Save this top 20 keyword list and now use this extensively in meta tags, titles, domain folders wherever particular keyword is applicable. Make good use of proper keyword and avoid misuses.

One more super cool feature: Traffic estimator

    “SEO for firefox” traffic estimator

This gives a pretty cool picture of adwords cost info related to this niche. As you can see average CPC for this keyword is .93 per click. If you are adwords advertiser, you expect to pay around buck for click. Further it depends on your page quality score and ad. If you are adsense publisher, you can estimate how much each click might bring you. If average cost is 93 cents, it will be usually lower with content network and say 50 to 60 cents and after Google’s cut, You may receive about 25 to 40 cents per click.

Here is a page with all you need to know about SEO sites(Aaron put together nice resource page and video of this tool):

     This this review helpful you?
